Née en 1999 en Belgique, Sarah Carestia est une artiste-designer textile spécialisée dans le tissage. Diplômée d’un bachelier en design textile et d’un master de l’ENSAV La Cambre, elle explore l’impact des textiles sur l’espace intérieur, en jouant sur la lumière, la transparence et la modularité. Ses œuvres, entre panneaux textiles et cloisons mobiles, suspendues librement, redéfinissent la dynamique spatiale et ouvrent à une nouvelle perception des lieux. Dans son travail, Sarah mêle techniques traditionnelles et esthétique contemporaine pour sculpter des espaces en perpétuelle transformation, révélant et dissimulant subtilement le monde environnant.
Born in Belgium in 1999, Sarah Carestia is a textile artist-designer specialising in weaving. With a bachelor's degree in textile design and a master's degree from ENSAV La Cambre, she explores the impact of textiles on interior spaces, playing with light, transparency and modularity. Her works, which range from textile panels to mobile, freely suspended walls, redefine spatial dynamics and open up new ways of perceiving places. In her work, Sarah blends traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics to sculpt spaces in perpetual transformation, subtly revealing and concealing the surrounding world.
