Ageas Re
Ageas Re is organized as a Business Unit within ageas SA/NV, the Group holding, on whose balance sheet it underwrites third-party and intra-group reinsurance under the trade name Ageas Re.
The Ageas Re Operations &; Claims team is dedicated to overseeing all day-to-day operational aspects of reinsurance, ensuring accurate technical and financial record keeping for both internal and third party reinsurance agreements, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships.
Your function
- Managing all operational aspects of the ceded reinsurance portfolio, ensuring full alignment between assumed and retro structures.
- Working closely with Underwriters to understand dynamics and wording nuances of all assumed and ceded business.
- Creating and maintaining SAP FS‑RI links and objects to correctly reflect treaty structures and flows in the system.
- Preparing ceded statements of accounts and ensuring the correct reflection of retrocession arrangements in the technical ledgers.
- Supporting the seamless transfer of accounts from assumed to ceded layers, ensuring technical accuracy and contract compliance.
Your profile
- Strong understanding of non‑life (re)insurance principles, technical accounting practices, and reinsurance contractual wordings.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a reinsurance company, insurance company, or broker—experience specifically in ceded treaty management is a major asset.
- Proven proficiency in SAP FS‑RI; ability to build and maintain treaty structures within the system is a plus.
- High accuracy when working with complex figures and data.
- Critical and analytical mindset, with the ability to challenge and validate incoming information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural awareness, with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
- Fluent in English; Spanish and/or German is an advantage.
