The vibrant Ageas Corporate Centre in Brussels is home to a variety of Group level functions including, amongst others, Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Communications. It sets out the long-term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media.
Your function
Your responsibilities include among others:
- Preparing analysis in order to develop and improve the Capital Management Framework of Ageas (Dividend upstream, Leverage Targets, Target Capital, Return on Capital measures and Portfolio analysis)
- Contributing in the credit rating process of Ageas Group for all credit rating agencies that rate Ageas, by preparing relevant analysis, meeting materials, and populating the credit rating capital models
- Monitoring and reporting on the evolutions in the capital markets and their impact on Ageas
- Occasionally aiding the team with day-to-day tasks or ad-hoc projects involving Dividends, Capital Markets, or tasks supporting the M&A process
- Preparing the Capital Management quarterly reporting
- Producing the deliverables of the department in the regular processes of the Group (MYB, ORSA, Recovery Plan, RSR/SFCR, Annual Report, etc.)
- Performing various analyses relating to capital management matters
Your profile
- You have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Corporate Finance, Actuarial Science or a related subject
- You have at least one year of professional work experience in a financial institution ((re)insurance capital management team or corporate & investment bank with focus on Financial Institutions) or a consulting firm focused on Financial Institutions
- You have a good command of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Bloomberg and/or VBA (or a basic programming language) is a plus
- You have at least a basic level of understanding of Solvency II, IFRS and credit rating agencies frameworks and methodologies
- You have strong analytical and communication skills
- You are proactive and enthusiastic about delivering the best results in a challenging environment
- You are a team player, but you are able to work independently as well
- You are fluent in English
- Work permit in Belgium
