Ageas Re

Ageas Re is organized as a Business Unit within ageas SA/NV, the Group holding, on whose balance sheet it underwrites third-party and intra-group reinsurance under the trade name Ageas Re. Today, Ageas Re serves clients globally, specializing in property and casualty treaty reinsurance.

For it’s growing pricing team that focuses on non-cat lines of business, Ageas is searching for an Actuarial Analyst.

Your function

You will be responsible for analysing and pricing reinsurance treaties, supporting the development and enhancement of actuarial models and providing support to the Ageas Re underwriting teams in Zurich and Brussels.

  • You will assist in the pricing of reinsurance products and provide actuarial support to the underwriting teams; your primary focus will be on Credit & Surety with potential involvement in Engineering ;
  • You will collaborate with other actuaries, underwriters and departments, such as finance and risk management, to ensure accuracy and completeness of actuarial analyses ;
  • You will conduct research and data analysis on both client and market data to perform actuarial studies;
  • You will assist in the development and maintenance of pricing models;
  • You will assist in the preparation of actuarial reports and presentations;
  • You will monitor and analyze industry trends and regulatory changes.

Your profile

 

  • Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field ;
  • Strong team player and entrepreneurial mindset ;
  • 2-5 years reinsurance pricing experience, ideally in Credit & Surety / Engineering ;
  • Good analytical and communication skills, attention to detail ;
  • Able to manage and meet deadlines and work under pressure ;
  • Fluent in English, a second language a plus ;
  • Knowledge of one programming language such as VBA, R, Python, SQL a plus.
