The vibrant Ageas Corporate Centre in Brussels is home to a variety of Group level functions including, amongst others, Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Communications. It sets out the long-term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media.

Your role

The Technology Development & Purchasing department oversees the IT of the Ageas Group Headquarter (~200 people) and develops Group-wide initiatives, supporting Ageas’ entities in 13 countries.

 

These Group initiatives have two main objectives:

  • Make sure IT risks are managed adequately across the Group. We define best practices in IT architecture, IT operating model, IT governance and support operating companies in implementing these blueprints.
  • Develop synergies by delivering group assets developed once and reused multiple times in Group companies. These assets can be shared services, training programs, group contracts with vendors, blueprints, IT components, centers of expertise etc.

 

To strengthen the team, we are looking for a Group IT Synergies Project Manager.

 

Over the past years, Ageas has generated significant synergies across operating companies by:

  • creating assets used by all operating companies (Security Operating Center, Ageas Cloud…),
  • aligning on solutions and negotiating group contracts.

 

Next to synergies developed in IT for IT and Risk modelling, the ambition is to further identify and develop synergies in IT for other departments: HR, Finance, Marketing, Risk… These synergies can be purely financial or take the form of operational efficiency gains.

 

The Group IT Synergies Project Manager will drive the identification and implementation of synergies across IT and other departments to achieve financial and operational efficiencies.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities include among others:

  • Manage a living list of potential synergy use cases – For instance: Group contracts, Group HR platform,...
  • Identify most promising use case and secure green light to further explore
  • Build business case in collaboration with local business and IT teams
  • Present business case to IT and business senior management and get approval to implement
  • Monitor implementation by local companies or by group until successful realization of the business case

Your profile

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organization, from subject matter experts to CEOs
  • Capacity to manage cross-cultural projects
  • Good written and verbal communication: English is mandatory, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Turk, Hindi are nice-to-haves
  • Ability to convince and influence
  • Networking and diplomacy
  • Strong analytical skills, both on written and unwritten information
  • Willingness to explore, understand and document various business processes.
  • Experience in building compelling business cases
  • Attention to details and meticulousness
  • Autonomy
