Department

As part of our strategy Elevate27, a joint ambition has been put forward for Data & AI within the group to accelerate our capabilities, foundations and value creation over the next 3 years. To deliver upon that ambition we will work closely together across OpCo’s in an operating model that goes beyond expertise sharing, into joint execution support and delivery.

Data & AI will be set up as a joint transformation programme at group level with the OpCo’s, (Our journey to Data excellence), where resources, use case portfolio and plans are brought together across the group (group being defined as the OpCo’s and Corporate Center). The “Data Committee” has decision rights on our Data & AI transformation, and will be responsible for prioritization of use cases supported by CoE group resources & staffing, harmonization of tooling, etc.

To strengthen the team, we are looking for a(n) Use case Portfolio Manager for group Data & AI.

Your role

The Use case Portfolio Manager for group Data & AI operates a Group AI Use Cases Portfolio which consists of gathering Data & AI initiatives of all opco’s to enable alignment in the delivery of the AI Strategy, detect group synergies, accelerate the delivery where required, manage group assets, and enable performance monitoring/reporting. This role is key in nominating use cases for elevation to group involvement based on value & feasibility, and prioritization according to strategic alignment.

The responsibilities of this role will include, among others:

  • Elevating our use cases: To-date we have a good starting point with a long list of use cases (300+) that has been identified across all OpCo’s, yet there are significant overlaps and high degree of (technical) commonality
    • In the next three years, we can benefit as a group to learn from each other and speed up our transformation. Therefore, we will utilize a model where we orchestrate and put forward “OpCo’s in the lead” for the large use cases: e.g. UK for claims FNOL automation & summarization, Belgium for SME UW, UK for retail pricing & UW, Belgium for claims repair steering & optimization, Turkey for digital sales assistant,…
    • As a group, we need to prioritize investments and share resources on a few AI applications with high value priorities. This requires a strong joint governance, sharing of learnings and joint delivery
    • It will be a transformation journey as such for Ageas group to work more jointly together on the delivery of shared solutions. For a group with a primarily de-centralized nature, driving group synergies is a new element.
  • Delivery: Deliver in collaboration with the TechDev team and Opcos in the lead, group-wide solutions and solution support in shareable code and implementation. These solutions cover both the “build” and “buy” use cases in Data & AI across the group.
  • Outside-in Scan: Investigate the market for compelling buy/partner solutions in the field of Data & AI: proactively establish a network of potential data solution providers, evaluate their relevance with Opcos, and implement a standardized contracting process (DPO, legal).
  • Follow up key performance metrics across the Group Data & AI project portfolio and the progress versus the Data & AI ambition expressed in strategy27.
  • Prepare and present to Data & AI Steerco that decides on the prioritization of Group effort and investment on Use Cases (Group asset development, support to an OpCo to accelerate etc.)

Your profile

  • 10+ years of relevant business experience
  • Strong project portfolio management skills
  • Experienced in the field of Data & AI (business-wise (use cases) and technical understanding – LLM’s)
  • Experienced to build outside network to explore market for interesting buy/partner solutions in the field of Data & AI and assess potential fit with Ageas
  • Strong diplomatic and transformational skills to build out our transformational journey in strong collaboration with all OpCO’s
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: Ability to interact with the Data & AI committee, composed of local CEO’s.
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and foster collaboration will be key to success in this role.
  • Effective Communication: proven track record of effective communication and collaboration at all organizational levels, from C-level executives to subject matter experts in business, data, and technology. This ability to bridge communication gaps is critical for successful technology development.
