Your function

You will be part of the Investor Relations team (IR), a small but dynamic team based at the Corporate Center in Brussels. Its role is to ensure a smooth relationship with the investment community and financial markets in general.

It provides relevant information to analysts and investors and helps them to better understand the dynamics of our company in order to broaden shareholder interest. This requires a thorough preparation, including a solid understanding of the company’s strategy, its financial and operational results, and ongoing knowledge gathering on a wide range of subjects concerning ageas and the insurance sector.

The IR team provides feedback from the investment community to senior management on developments on the equity markets and expectations of the investment community regarding strategic topics. 

More precisely, in your role of Investor Relations Officer you will

• Be actively involved in the preparation of any publication that interests the investment community regarding different types of content such as earnings, strategy, M&A and legal topics;
• Organize touch points with the investment community on various topics during deep dives and investor days and develop the communication materials;
• Initiate and co-host roadshows and conferences oriented to institutional and retail investors worldwide;
• Build sustainable relationships with all types of players in the investment community;
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of Ageas, its strategy and its financials (P&L, balance sheet, Solvency);
• Connect with the teams at Corporate Center and across the Group to get relevant stories and data;
• Follow the latest developments of Ageas’ competitors and the financial markets as a whole.

Your profile

• You have a master degree and are keen to learn and to work with financial data ;
• You have at least 5 years working experience, preferably in the insurance sector ;
• You are interested to learn about Ageas, its products, strategy and results ;
• You are passionate about financial markets and its participants ;
• You have excellent verbal and written communications skills and easily manage relationships both with customers (internal and external) and information suppliers ;
• You like to work towards joint deliverables in a dynamic team that needs to be flexible in response to short term urgencies ;
• You can be trusted to work with confidential (price) sensitive information ;
• You have a good knowledge of Word, PPT and Excel and you are keen to work with software tools as Bloomberg and Nasdaq.
• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French would be a plus.
