With Medi-Assistance (third party payer agreement), AG will settle the hospital bill with the hospital directly.
 

With Assurpharma, pharmacy receipts will be sent digitally to AG for reimbursement.


And with Assurmed, bills from GPs, dentists and physiotherapists will be sent digitally to AG for reimbursement.

What exactly does your Hospicare Flexible hospital plan cover?

Four standard covers will provide your staff members with peace of mind if ever they are hospitalised in Belgium or further afield. 
 

Comprehensive coverage to protect your employees' health

1. Hospital stays

 

AG covers the following expenses:


- inpatient room and board in a single-occupancy room

- doctors' fees

- diagnostic examinations

- treatment and medication

- prosthetics and orthopaedic devices

- rooming-in costs

- (emergency) transportation to the hospital or transfers between two hospitals

- fertility treatments eligible for statutory compensation

- etc.

Tip: via Medi-Assistance, AG's third-party payer system, you report the hospital admission and AG covers the costs.

2. Pre-admission and post-discharge outpatient care

 

Medical care before and after the inpatient stay will be covered if directly related to reason for the hospital admission.

- treatment

- prescription medication if eligible for statutory compensation

- prosthetics and orthopaedic devices

Critical illnesses

 

Your staff members will be entitled to year-round coverage for medical care to treat 30 critical illnesses, even if no hospital stay is required.

4. Assistance while travelling abroad

 

Your staff members get the same extensive coverage all over the world, whether in Belgium or further afield. They’re also entitled to additional assistance services including repatriation if necessary.
 

This coverage includes the following services:


- local on-site medical assistance

- administrative organisation of the hospitalisation

- search and rescue efforts

- financial contributions towards the hospital stay (third-party payer agreement)

- repatriation of the insured and any accompanying family members

- etc.

Delta

This option includes:

- double the pre-admission and post-discharge coverage periods from one to two months and from three to six months (also available as a stand-alone option)

- partial (50%) refunds for alternative medicine (homeopathy, osteopathy, chiropractic, etc.)

- homeopathic remedies (50%)

- palliative care at home and in an accredited hospice day centre

Convenient services

Via your hospital plan, you're entitled to practical assistance services before, during and after your inpatient stay:
- help with household chores
- childminding
- postnatal care
- pet-sitting
- transportation to/from the hospital for the patient
- delivery of essential items
- transportation to/from the hospital for the patient's family members
- transportation to/from school for the children



 

Deductible

It's up to you to decide whether your staff members will pay nothing at all in the future or a small share towards their inpatient costs.

Tip

  • Hospicare Flexible was designed for companies with a headcount of at least 15 employees. Employees and their family members will be enrolled in the plan.
  • No medical questionnaire will be required. Once your staff members enrol in the plan, their coverage will be effective immediately, with no waiting period to serve.
