The vibrant Ageas Corporate Centre in Brussels is home to a variety of Group level functions including, amongst others, Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Communications. It sets out the long-term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media.
The department
Activities covered by the team of Technology Development and Group Purchasing are Corporate Centre IT coordination & operations, corporate Centre PMO and Architecture, Data Management, Procurement and Group Synergies Creation Initiatives.
To strengthen the team, we are looking for an IT Security & Resilience Officer.
Your role
The IT Security & Resilience Officer will be responsible for the following activities on the Ageas Corporate Centre level:
Project Activities:
- Contribute to the IT Security initiatives as a key liaison between the Corporate Centre and IT vendors. Ensure the implementation of security features and processes by IT vendors.
- Serve as a security Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the ISO27k – continuous improvement plan and for the Digital Operational Resilience project.
- Engage in the implementation of IT Security improvements for the Digital Operational Resilience Act.
- Validate Ageas Corporate Centre projects/solutions from an IT Security perspective.
- Propose and actively participate in the implementation of IT security enhancements for the Ageas Corporate Centre.
- Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans to guarantee rapid recovery from security incidents. Conduct Business Impact Assessments with departments to determine process/resource criticality.
- Coordinate testing with IT vendors and business departments to evaluate IT Security and Resilience aspects.
BAU (Business As Usual) Activities:
- Undertake day-to-day IT Security tasks for the Corporate Centre, including verifying vendor reports, processing security requests/approvals, conducting certifications, analyzing and enhancing Identity & Access Management (IAM), executing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), investigating and resolving security incidents, collaborating with the Security Operations Centre.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IT security assessments of the Corporate Centre by second and third lines and by external auditors.
- Monitor vendor security reports, investigate suspicious activities, and respond to potential threats with appropriate security controls.
- Contribute to the Corporate Centre Information Security Office that is overseeing the ISMS .
- Make sure that the ageas Corporate Centre remains ISO27K and DORA compliant on the level of IT Security & BCP.
- Act as a Business Continuity Coordinator, coordinate and facilitate in our crisis management practice.
Your profile
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Security or Resilience roles
- Educational background in Information or Cyber Security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated drive, ownership, and proactive attitude
- Commitment to high-quality standards
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work autonomously, organizing and prioritizing tasks in line with management guidelines
- Resilience and adaptability in challenging situations
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn and share knowledge
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Proficient in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
