The past few months have kept us very busy at AG! Driven by our philosophy to leverage technology for the benefit of our customers, we've introduced a series of technology updates. These innovations not only make our digital tools more user-friendly but also simplify certain processes.

Efficiency gains in submitting expenses via MyAG Employee Benefits

 

One of our many improvements concerns sending in medical expenses via MyAG Employee Benefits. From now on, your employees can specify whether their expenses are for 

  • a hospital stay
  • a critical illness
  • or other expenses

Previously, we had a single procedure for all types of expenses, which sometimes caused confusion. For each type of expense, we now provide detailed information on what exactly is covered.

This categorisation helps us process claims more accurately, which means we can get to the refund stage even faster. The system also displays error messages if an employee submits expenses that are ineligible for coverage. For example, expenses that are unrelated to a hospital stay can only be submitted if you also provide outpatient care coverage. 

This way, we save time by not processing claims that will be denied anyway. Your employees will get the benefit of knowing exactly where they stand, which relieves them of stress and uncertainty.

With the app, they can easily and quickly:

  • report a hospital admission
  • send in medical expenses
  • contact experienced consultants 24/7 via My Mind by AG
  • set up telehealth consultations with a doctor licensed to practise in Belgium via Doktr
  • take advantage of promotions with our health partners

Encourage your employees to download the MyAG Employee Benefits app today so that they can get the most out of their benefits.

In addition to added convenience, it's also an opportunity to save time and money with expedited refunds plus discounts with our healthcare partners.

Even more secure access to AG EB Online via an authenticator app

 

At the end of November, we introduced the authenticator app as an access method to AG EB Online, the management platform for all your group insurance and healthcare plans. This app replaces the classic Digipass code generator and provides customers with an extra layer of security through the use of two-factor authentication (2FA). This means that even if your password has been compromised, your account is still protected.

Current AG EB Online users can continue to use their Digipass or SMS as their access method. However, we will no longer send out any new Digipass code generators, which means that new users or users with a defective or lost Digipass will have to register via an authenticator app (one-time procedure). Once they have successfully registered, they can log in via the app or SMS.

 

Why an authenticator app is a better solution:

  • Convenient: the app is easy to install and use, and since it's on your smartphone, it's always at your fingertips. There's also less risk of loss, a flat battery or technical issues than with a Digipass code generator.
  • Eco-friendly: by switching to a digital solution, we reduce the need for physical devices, contributing to a more sustainable future.
  • Flexible: many authenticator apps work across multiple services and platforms, so one app can be used for different accounts.

Quicker access to information

 

Our recent customer satisfaction survey showed that new plan participants would like quicker access to information about their covers.

In response to this need, employees with a new insurance plan and who have provided their e-mail address will get this information by e-mail rather than by ordinary mail. The e-mail will clearly explain the new insurance plan along with the benefits it provides. In addition, employees will be given step-by-step instructions on how to log in to the app.
