AG Ascento Deposit is the solution for an investment with a time horizon of 8 years or less, or as an interim option while you're looking for an appropriate long-term investment opportunity.

AG Ascento Deposit is a capitalisation contract (Branch 26) that allows you to invest all or a portion of your retirement nest egg as a short-term option.
Safe-haven investment

Both the principal and the interest rate are guaranteed.

Tacit renewal

At the end of the term, the contract will automatically renew for another year, unless cancelled by you before the renewal date.

Favourable taxation

AG Ascento Deposit contracts are tax-efficient as they're not subject to insurance tax.

Optimum liquidity

You can cash out of your contract reserves, in part or in full, at any time.

How is AG Ascento Deposit taxed?

AG Ascento Deposit is a tax-efficient solution:

  • No insurance tax is due on your deposits.
  • Withholding tax will be payable on the interest earned.

What fees do I need to take into account?

As is the case with any investment, you should factor in the following fees:

  • Front-end load: none
  • Exit fees: none
  • Management fees: none

What is the minimum premium?

An AG Ascento Deposit contract can be opened with a single payment starting at EUR 10,000. If you subsequently wish to make additional deposits, you will need to open a new contract.

What happens when the contract reaches the end date, or if you've opted for a longer-term investment solution?

At the end of the term, the contract will automatically renew for another year, at the conditions applicable at that time, unless cancelled by you before the renewal date.

If you're not planning to renew the contract, all you have to do is give us one business day's notice.

At any time, you can also transfer the reserves held in your AG Ascento Deposit contract, in part or in full, to an AG Ascento Free contract, with no exit fees.

What are the risks associated with AG Ascento Deposit?

Capitalisation contracts are managed separately as special assets segregated from the insurer's other assets.

If the insurer files for bankruptcy, these assets will be used to uphold commitments made to policyholders as they have the highest priority.

In other words, policyholders have a lien against the insurer's assets.
