How are the premiums invested?
The premiums will be invested in the AG Employee Benefits General Fund. This is a Branch 21 investment solution, with an interest rate guaranteed by AG. This way, your employees will have the security of knowing that their supplementary pension is safe in our hands.
Depending on investment performance, additional profit sharing may also be awarded on top of the guaranteed return . There is, however, no guarantee that any profit sharing will be paid out and the amount may vary from year to year.

Options for employers
The premiums set aside can be used to build up a supplementary pension for your staff members. Another alternative is to offer additional death benefit coverage. This way, you not only protect your employees but also their loved ones, because if the unthinkable should happen to one of your staff members, their beneficiaries would be entitled to a lump-sum payment.
You have 2 funding options to choose from. You can go for a defined contribution plan, where you make regular fixed payments into the supplementary pension plan. Alternatively, you can opt for a defined benefit plan.In this case, the premium will be set based on the pension plan objective (for example, to set aside a supplementary pension nest egg that represents twice the plan participant’s gross annual salary). It's up to you - the choice is yours.
Interesting opportunity for your staff members: a cash advanceYour staff members have the option to take out a cash advance on their group insurance benefits before they retire. The funds can be used to purchase, build or remodel real estate (such as a holiday home) or to pay off a mortgage loan. The same guaranteed return and profit sharing conditions will continue to apply to the entire group insurance benefit amount, including the amount taken as a cash advance.
